US Bank executive gets another HLS home demo

On the 14th of October, US Bank's DC lobbying headquarters was closed so
they could celebrate the 521st anniversary of Christoper Columbus
washing up half-dead in the Bahamas. That being so, DC area animal
rights activists cancelled a pland office demo and went to Kevin
McMillan's home instead.

Activsts attempted to deliver a letter to Kevin, he refused to accept it. A cordial meeting was offered, but refused.

Kevin McMillan is the Assistant General Counsel and Managing Director for Federal Government Relations for US Bank. US Bank saved Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) from bankruptcy after Fortress did the right thing and called in over $100M in loans. HLS staffers have been caught over and over again in repeated undercover investigations punching beagle puppies in the face, dissecting live monkeys, and similar acts often unrelated even to their so-called animal tests.

Kevin lives in a beautiful home very close to Rock Creek Park, and the raised homes over the street, the homes on the other side of the street, and the side valley create an echo chamber for noisy protests in front of his home. This is the third time activists have had to go there.

No security guards were visible, but Kevin was home to refuse the letter and the meeting. The result of the refusal was about 40 minutes of loud protest. Police showed up, but took no action as protesters were not violating any laws.

Protesters say only one thing can stop them from returning to this location again and again: For US Bank to call in that $120M in loans that are the only reason beagle puppies and other animals are still being tortured to death at Huntingdon Life Sciences!
