My husband works what feels like a bazillion hours, leaving us with little time together. When he finally comes home in the evening (usually after 9pm) he is so tired that he really just wants to have his dinner and watch a quick TV show, but I often catch him peaking at my screen to see what wonders I'm watching here on LL.
Usually he just catches the randomly uploaded videos, but this morning I was showing him a yoursay and some of the funny responses. You guys have all peaked his interest! As I began telling him of the friendships I have observed, the true community you all seem to have, and the fun atmosphere you guys try to maintain even when emotions are running high, he really was really impressed. You are always hearing that "you can't have real friends on the internet" but I think there are some of you who have proved that theory wrong, especially like with Sloop who had LL visitors come all the way from Sweden. Even if one doesn't want to call what you guys have here "friendships" you do indeed have your own unique community.
He left talking about needing "something" for himself and wanting to "look more into this." He wants me to show him the site and more of the fabulous yoursay videos that have posted lately. Who knows, maybe he will buy a camera and join. I just hope he can handle the troll side of LL. He's not like me, "fuck off" isn't really part of his vocabulary. We'll see what happens, to be continued..... :-)
