Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of an emerging fashion label, especially if it's headed by somebody influencial like Victoria Beckham? A collaboration between Mrs Beckham and Skype is all set to demystify the complex workings of her label.

Beckham, who has confessed to using Skype to communicate with her London-based design team while in LA, will now be using the technology to touch base with her fans. For the next five years, the instant communication platform will have full access to her studio – meetings, fittings, drama, et all. At the end of the stint, Skype will compile the footage to create a stellar documentary.

Looks like Pinterest, tumblr and Facebook will have to wait. Coffee breaks will be spent at Victoria Beckham’s studio.
Bottega Veneta Opens First Maison in Milan

Bottega Veneta's Milan maison

Bottega Veneta has opened its first Maison in Milan's stylish Via Sant'Andrea 15. Spread over 1,060 sqm and two floors in an 18th century building, the maison showcases Bottega Veneta's entire collection including women's and men's ready-to-wear, bags and leather goods, eyewear, shoes, watches, fragrance, jewellery and furniture.

The store has been designed by the brand's creative director Tomas Maier and focuses the idea of lightness and luminosity. Big arched windows let light in; while a glass-enclosed courtyard with a fountain at its centre provides a stylish backdrop.

In a statement Maier says, "The Maison represents a new approach to shopping, an evolution in the brand retail development that follows the growth of Bottega Veneta… offering to the clientele customized and dedicated services in anticipation of their needs or desires."

This is Bottega Veneta's second store in Milan; the flagship is in the heart of Milan's high fashion district, at Via Montenapoleone 5.
